The Reach Project applies the technology of video tracking and projection environements to the needs of physically impaired children. Reach is the result of my graduate thesis work at ITP and has grown under my leadership to become a paid internship for students at NYU’s ITP program. I lead graduate design students and occupational therapists through a design research and prototyping process. Beginning with the observation of patient therapy sessions, we identify motion patterns and the range of abilities of patients. I then work with the ITP students to translate our findings into functional game environments and trials with patients at NYU's RUSK Medical center.
